Sophisticated welding processes with maximum precision - also in accordance with AD 2000
In the field of stainless steel welding, we offer you the opportunity to process components that meet the requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive. Our well-trained employees are regularly inspected and trained by the officially appointed welding inspectorate. We produce the most demanding welded constructions at three fully equipped welding workstations. We use TIG and MAG welding.
Processing in accordance with the appliance pressure directive 97/23/EC - AD 2000
Trained and certified employees for TIG welding
Fulfillment of the high requirements of the pump industry and plant construction
Stainless steel welding requires maximum precision and expertise. Especially in hygienically sensitive sectors such as the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries, quality is crucial. Weld seams must be corrosion-resistant, smooth and easy to clean in order to comply with strict hygiene regulations. Rely on experts to manufacture your stainless steel components to be durable and functional - ideal for hygienic applications with the highest safety and quality requirements.
Welding is a very complicated manufacturing process. Jung & Co. is known for precision - which is why we have opted for a welding robot to support our welders. It helps us to ensure consistent quality.
In addition, the automated welding process shortens the processing time by around 60 %. This goes hand in hand with minimizing the effort required for post-processing because the seams are very clean.
The procedures
TIG process
Tungsten inert gas
Like the MAG process, the TIG process is also classified as an arc welding process. An electric arc generates the heat required to weld or fuse the metal. This arc is usually generated electrically. The TIG process is often described as the king of welding processes. We use this process to produce extremely precise and flawless welds for a wide variety of stainless steel components.
The advantages:
- No welding spatter and hardly any smoke.
- Extremely clean, fine and visually attractive weld seams.
- Perfect for thin sheets, pipes, flanges or housings such as those required in the food or pharmaceutical sectors
- Complicated geometries can be realized very well
The disadvantages:
- Very slow process required
- High level of manual dexterity required (two-handed operation).
MAG process
Metal active gas
MAG welding is widely used in industry and is an extremely efficient process. Perfect weld seams can be achieved at a remarkable speed and quality, even on thick components or at extreme depths. In contrast to the TIG process, a gas mixture of argon and C02 is used here. This has a chemical effect on the molten metal and ensures a stable joint.
The advantages:
- Extremely fast work due to a very high deposition rate
- Very easy to learn (one-handed operation as the wire comes automatically).
- Excellent for thick steel plates, steel construction and mass production.
The disadvantages:
- Weld spatter occurs, which often has to be laboriously removed afterwards.
- The seams usually look rougher and less delicate than with TIG.
